A Green Club meeting was held on Wednesday, December 2nd. At this meeting an election was held for a Green Club president, vice president, and secretary. Members who were in grade five and up could run. For president, Becca and Katie from grade six were the two candidates. Jacob Z. from grade five and Mackenzie from grade seven were another two candidates for vice president. For secretary, Kiah was the only one who ran. The results of the election are the following:

President- Becca (Grade 6)
Vice President- Mackenzie (Grade 7)
Secretary- Kiah (Grade 8)

Also at the meeting, Jacob D., Liam, and Christian from grade four are sending an e-mail to the Director of the Sanitation Department of the City of Warwick, asking for blue bins for our school to recycle. Our school only has a green bin, which we can put paper into for recycling. Our school does not have blue bins, which we can put water bottles, soda cans, etc.

At the end of the meeting, the Green Club watched a movie together titled “Re-use News”. The movie talked about different processes involved in recycling and the importance of the environment.
