St. Rose of Lima School Uniform Requirements

Thank you for viewing this site. It is important that all students and parents are aware of the requirements for the school uniform. Please look below to assure that you have met them (including logos on gym uniforms). It is important that the school maintain consistency when it comes to uniforms. Uniforms help to set the tone of the school day. It tells the students that we are ready to be with the Lord. Uniforms help with behavior and alleviate distractions. What is required from one must be required for all. Please help the teachers and the students by reminding them to wear ties, belts and dress shoes and the proper gym uniform.

Definitions

Required Uniform: Uniform worn on regular school and must be worn for all School Liturgies

Gym Uniform: Worn to school on gym days. Uniforms must have a logo.

Warm Weather Option: Boys may wear uniform shorts. Both boys and girls may wear gym shorts from the First day of School-October 31^st. May be worn from after Spring Vacation until Last Day of School.

Special Note: All pants and slacks must be worn with a plain belt.

Gym Wear (All K-8 Students boys and girls)

Beginning in September 2006, all gym uniforms must be purchased from Donnelly’s. Only the navy blue gym uniform may be worn. The gym uniform must have the St. Rose of Lima Logo. Students must wear sweatshirts over the tee shirt during the winter months October until Spring Vacation. No other sweatshirt will be allowed. Sweatshirts may be removed during the gym class. Please label each piece of the gym uniform. Children without the proper uniform will be asked to call home for the proper uniform.

Students must be in the required gym uniform! A school logo is a must!

Required Gym Uniform

· Navy Blue Tee Shirt with St. Rose of Lima logo

· Navy Blue Sweat Pant with St. Rose of Lima logo

· Navy Blue Sweat Shirt with St. Rose of Lima logo

· Sneakers (Gym Days Only)

Optional – Warm Weather

· Navy Blue shorts with St. Rose of Lima logo

Boys

Shoes should be black or brown. Shoes may be tie or Velcro. Donnelly’s does carry a uniform shoe. You are not required to purchase from Donnelly’s.

The Stride Rite Mariner Sneaker Shoe in Black can be worn for both school and gym.

Girls

Shoes must be black or brown, with a rubber sole only. NO HIGH HEEL SHOES!!!

A half-inch heel is the only thing acceptable. If girls come to school in heels they will be asked to return with the low heel shoe. Mary Jane’s or a low black shoe is acceptable.

Kindergarten – Grade 2 Girls

White blouse with rose (long or short)
Crossover Tie (navy)
Navy Blue knee socks or Blue Tights
Winter Uniform – Navy Blue Pants
Shoes – Black or Navy Blue Tie Shoes (flat only)

Kindergarten – Grade 2 Boys

Powder Blue Oxford Shirt (long or short sleeve)
Navy Blue Pants
Tie (navy blue)
Socks Navy Blue or Dark
Shoes Black or Brown Tie shoes Flat Rubber Sole

Grades 3 – 5 Girls

Plaid Culottes or skirt
Powder Blue Oxford blouse with Rose (long or short sleeve)
Navy Blue knee socks or Blue Tights
Winter Uniform – Navy Blue Pants
Shoes – Black, Brown or Navy Blue tie shoes (flat only)

Grades 3- 5 Boys

Powder Blue Oxford Shirt (long or short sleeve)
Navy Blue Pants
Navy Blue Tie
Socks Dark or Black
Shoes Black or Brown Flat Shoes with Rubber Soles (see gym uniform also)
Belt (black or brown) must be worn with uniform.

Grades 6 – 8 Girls

Gray skirts (to knee)
Powder Blue Oxford blouse with rose (long or short sleeve)
Navy Blue knee socks or Blue Tights
Winter Uniform – Navy Blue Pants
Shoes – Black, Brown or Navy Blue tie shoes (flat only)
NO HIGH HEEL SHOES OF ANY KIND

Grade 6 – 8 Boys

Powder Blue Oxford Shirt (long or short sleeve)
Navy Blue Pants
Maroon Tie
Socks Navy Blue or Dark
Shoes – Black or Brown Shoes Flat with Rubber Sole (see gym uniform above)
Belt (black or brown) must be worn with uniform.
